"Clown Bar" is a film noir style play about a former clown on the hunt for justice.
The will take audiences on the journey of a former clown searching for justice as it presents “Clown Bar,” a comedy written by Adam Szymkowicz.
The Elon cast will perform the production from Oct. 3-9 in Roberts Studio Theatre at Scott Studios. Performances, directed by Assistant Professor of Performing Arts Kevin Hoffmann, are scheduled for Oct. 3-4 at 7:30 p.m.; Oct. 5 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.; and Oct. 7-9 at 7:30 p.m.
鈥淐lown Bar鈥 is a play about clowns but doesn’t clown around. This isn’t a laughing matter for Happy, a former clown, whose brother Timmy has been murdered. The case won鈥檛 solve itself, and someone鈥檚 got the pie on their face to prove it. With so many suspects, the investigation is a bit of a circus.
Told in a film noir style and set in a bar full of clowns, this story is deadly serious, but the performance will leave you in stitches. (NOTE: Contains adult content and language)
