Many students helped by sitting at the table in Moseley, donating a meal, volunteering at a local soup kitchen, planning and attending the Oxfam Hunger Banquet, and participating in the 30-hour famine.

We raised awareness, made a differenence in the community, and helped the international fight against hunger and poverty.

Special Thanks to Aramark for all of its donations throughout the week.

We could not have done it without you all!

Hunger Awareness Week, Nov. 17-21 /u/news/2003/11/24/hunger-awareness-week-nov-17-21/ Mon, 24 Nov 2003 13:20:00 +0000 /u/news/2003/11/24/hunger-awareness-week-nov-17-21/ Do you know where your next meal is coming from? Over 13 million AMERICANS don’t!

Sign up to donate a meal off of your meal plan to a hungry child! Visit our table in Moseley Mon-Wed or at College Coffee.

Tuesday night, come to our Oxfam Hunger Banquet, at 6:00 at Rhodes Stadium Woods Center. This is a poverty simulation/dinner. Come hungry and ready to have a great experience.

Friday join us and participate in the 30-hour famine! Give up food for a day and experience what millions around the world deal with every day. It is a great experience, and we will have a fun sleepover in the Zone Friday night for support and reflection.

Volunteer at a Local Soup kitchen next weekend.

E-mail acambria@elon.edu or mstclair@elon.edu for more info.

Help fight global hunger and poverty.

Participate in the 30-hour fast for famine awareness /u/news/2003/11/21/participate-in-the-30-hour-fast-for-famine-awareness/ Fri, 21 Nov 2003 18:16:00 +0000 /u/news/2003/11/21/participate-in-the-30-hour-fast-for-famine-awareness/ Today many Elon students are fasting for a great cause. Today is the 30-hour famine, which began at 1am and will go until 6am tomorrow. It is not too late to join in!

Make a conscious effort to give up a meal or two today, and have a personal experience with hunger, like so many around the world do every day. If you would like to make a donation to our cause and to World Vision, please stop by our table in Moseley.

Tonight in the Zone at 8pm we will have a reflective sleepover, watch movies and have fun together. Please join us!!
