Elon Volunteers! is now hiring more than 75 leadership positions for the 2013-14 school year.

Positions include interns, directors, and coordinators for many different organizations.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on April 5 to the Kerndole Center (Moseley 230) or to elonvols@elon.edu.

Faces of Homelessness Panel – Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week: Nov. 13

The Faces of Homelessness Panel is made up of a group of people who have been or currently are homeless who will be sharing their stories and experiences. Led by the National Coalition for the Homeless, the panel will be held at 7 p.m. in Whitley on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

This event is part of Campus Kitchen’s Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week and counts as a cultural event.

Benefit Concert – Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week: Nov. 16

Join Campus Kitchen and two of Elon’s a capella groups on Friday, Nov. 16 as they come together to help fight hunger. Rip_Chord and Twisted Measure will perform in McKinnon at 8 p.m. as part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Admittance is $3 or 2 canned goods.

Volunteer to join Campus Kitchen at Redbud Farm on Monday, November 12, as part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Volunteers meet at Boney Fountain at 2:30 and will be back by 5:15. It’s a great opportunity to participate in hands-on volunteer work and learn more about the farm.

Safe Rides is looking to fill two open Captain positions for the 2012-2013 school year. Main duties include being an integral part of the Safe Rides team and supervising volunteers different nights throughout the school year.
