Elon makes big showing at regional Math conference /u/news/2003/03/26/elon-makes-big-showing-at-regional-math-conference/ Wed, 26 Mar 2003 20:52:00 +0000 /u/news/2003/03/26/elon-makes-big-showing-at-regional-math-conference/ Elon had 10 students and four faculty members attending the conference, all wearing special Elon Math t-shirts. More impressive, three of the faculty members and seven of the students presented talks. There were only 20 undergraduate talks at the conference. One student, Shaun Lynott, took first place in the undergraduate presentations awards. The other students giving talks were: Daisy Cunningham, Bob Davis, Katie Iwancio, Chaska Mendoza, Jessica Munley, and Brian Parker. Aja Johnson, Karen Lawrence, and Amy Oliver also attended.

This is quite an accomplishment for all of these students and they should be congratulated! The faculty advisors should also be recocognized – congratulations to Crista Coles and Todd Lee!
