Still making your winter term plans? I’m leading a group of students who want to do a trip a little bit more on the independent side, off the beaten path. We will be going to Cuernavaca, Mexico to do volunteer work and meet and live like Mexicans. We will be working with the nonprofit: Por un mejor HOY (For a better TODAY – www.hoycommunity.org), doing projects with kids, adolescents, the environment and whatever else you may be interested in. I will be showing you the Mexico the locals know, so only adventurous people please.

Trip dates: January 4-24, 2008
cost: no more than $2000 (including airfare)

*Bilingual (Spanish/English)
*Desire to work with immigrant communities
*Administrative/clerical/computer skills

Benefits:
*Full-time (35 hours a week): $11,100 annual stipend, health & child care benefits, and an educational scholarship of $4,725.
*Part-time (20 hours a week): $5,500 per year & $2,362 scholarship.
*Monthly human services and leadership trainings.
