Upcoming events highlight School of Communications majors

An informational session to discuss the Communication Design major will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 4:15 p.m. in McEwen 011. Students can ask questions about the major and listen to information about upcoming classes.

The second event titled “How to Succeed As a Communications Major” will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 4:15 p.m. in McEwen 011. The session will feature various professors from the different majors on a panel and question-and-answer session. Pizza will be served.

Writing Center satellite locations now open in KOBC and Multiculteral Center

Students wanting to utilize the Writing Center can now visit the satellite locations in KOBC and the Multiculteral Center. Appointments are made , and clients should click the drop-down menu to find the approrpriate satellite location and available appointments.

The KOBC satellite is located on the third floor of KOBC in the seating area, and is not limited to only buisness majors. These locations serve the same purpose and provide the same services as the central location of the Writing Center, which is located in Belk Library.

Elon Volunteers! is hosting its final Get On The Bus event this year! It is an easy way to try out service at Elon with no prior experience needed. Students can meet at Moseley Fountain at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, and the BioBus will take them to the volunteer site at Kopper Top Life Learning Center . The bus will also bring students back to Elon at 6 p.m. There will be more opportunities in the weeks to follow so do not be discouraged if you cannot attend!

Elon Volunteers! is kicking off its first Get On The Bus service opportunity on Friday, Oct. 5. It is an easy way to try out service at Elon with no prior experience needed. Students can meet at Moseley Fountain at 2:30 p.m. and the BioBus will take them to the volunteer site for that week.

The bus will also bring students back to Elon at 6 p.m. The first Get On The Bus opportunity will be going to the Positive Attitude Youth Center. There will be more opportunities in the weeks to follow so do not be discouraged if you cannot make the kick off.
