Elon Academy students interviewed on “The State of Things”

Three students from the Elon Academy, along with faculty members Deborah Long and Brooke Barnett, were featured guests on the Nov. 11 broadcast of "The State of Things" by National Public Radio affiliate WUNC in Chapel Hill. The interview could be heard live on 91.5 FM and is now online for listeners to access.

Gerald Knight publishes book on African-American conductors

Yet premier conductors, regardless of race, share so much more in common. Gerald Knight, an assistant professor of music, examines those traits in his first book, Two African American Choral Conductors: Eroding Misconceptions Through Excellence.

Elon entrepreneurship students attend networking event

Entrepreneurship students participated Oct. 29 in The Indus Entrepreneurs of Carolina’s (TiE) networking event at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. The students networked with approximately 60 high growth and technology entrepreneurs as part of their Entrepreneurship Skills course taught by Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
