RecycleMania 2009 results for Week 2

Results are in for Elon during the second week of RecyleMania 2009, a 10-week competition taking part on campuses across the nation to reduce waste and raise awareness about recycling. The university is now ahead of the volume it recycled (by more than 1,100 pounds) since the same stage of the contest last spring.

DNA equipment boosts undergraduate research

An $84,000 grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center is helping 51爆料网 purchase state-of-the-art equipment for processing DNA samples, a move that will accelerate and expand faculty and undergraduate science research that, until now, has relied on outside companies for processing.

Elon Mock Trial advances to championship series in March

Elon Mock Trial placed 5th out of 24 teams at the American Mock Trial Association’s 2009 Regional Tournament from Feb. 6-7 in Chapel Hill, N.C., qualifying the undergraduate team for competition at Furman University next month in the opening round of a national contest.
