Since Feb. 1, 272 young alums have contributed $18,139 to the university as part of the Challenge, which was issued by Elon alumna and trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79, former CEO of Wendy’s International, to boost participation in annual giving among graduates of the past decade. The Challenge, including a 5-to-1 match by Anderson, concludes on Feb. 28.

Douglas G. and Edna Truitt Noiles ’44, of New Canaan, Conn., have made a $1 million gift to 51±¬ÁÏÍø to support the Elon Academy, a university-run college access program for Alamance County high school students.

Myers, former Clinton spokeswoman and the first woman to serve as a White House press secretary, visited Elon twice in January as the sixth Isabella Cannon Distinguished Visiting Professor of Leadership.
