If you are applying to medical or dental school Spring/Summer 2009 and desire a Health Professions Committee Letter, you MUST complete an “Elon Committee Application” by Dec. 5.

The application is available from the Health Professions Blackboard site or by contacting Dr. Herbert W. House (househ@elon.edu). Please contact Dr. House if you have questions.

Important medical school application information

If you are planning to apply to medical school THIS spring/summer for matriculation in fall 2009, then you need to contact Dr. Herbert House (househ@elon.edu) ASAP if you have not done so already.

The online application for an ELON HEALTH PROFESSIONS COMMITTEE evaluation and letter is now available on our Blackboard site. If you have not registered for the MCAT, you should do so immediately if you plan to take it in April or May.

Health professions scholarships

Elon alumnus discusses medical school experience during Q & A Nov. 6

PreMed students are invited to meet November 6 about 12:15PM IN MOSELEY 216 – COVINGTON RM. with an alumnus, Dan Jackson, who is finishing up his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Students will get their lunch (or not) from the Octagon and join us for an open-ended discussion of medical school by our alumnus. We’ll be there until about 1:30PM or so.

MCAT review course on campus spring 2008

Please let me know (househ@elon.edu) if you would be interested in a spring semester MCAT review course. We already have 8 committed to taking it and need 10. Some limited funds might be available to offset the cost (approx. $1,500 – with Elon discount).
