Why: There are so many reasons to want to become an RA or HA!

Come to the information session to find out more about this great leadership experience.

What: We will be covering what the Resident Assistant and Housing Assistant positions entail as well as general information on being a part of the residence life staff. This will include expectations and requirements of the positions and covering any questions you may have about the selection process or the positions.

Current student staff members will be in attendance to answer questions.

This conference is open to anyone but is limited to the first 30 participants.

This year the conference theme is, “The Real World: Diversity”. It is their intent for those attending the conference to receive meaningful and informative strategies for creating an environment that is inclusive and welcoming.

The cost………FREE. Registration, transportation and dinner are provided. For more information please look to the following website:

Banana Olympics Results /u/news/2006/10/03/banana-olympics-results/ Tue, 03 Oct 2006 12:23:00 +0000 /u/news/2006/10/03/banana-olympics-results/ West Area Staff held the first ever Banana Olympics this past Sunday at 2 pm under the Oaks. Teams competed in a series of field day events using a banana. Points were awarded for the top teams in each event and the team with the best looking banana at the end of the competition was given bonus points.

Eight teams competed in events including the banana toss, banana limbo and partner up.

The Pink Daredevils was the winning team with the most points and Bananarama was the team with the best looking banana.

Congrats to the winners and thanks to all who participated. Bring it back banana style for next year!

Or maybe you are looking for a new summer experience?

Working for summer conferences may be the answer to your questions. Residence Life is currently looking for enthusiastic people who would love a fun new experience as Summer Conference Assistants for the upcoming summer (06’).

As a Summer Conference Assistant, you will assist in preparing for upcoming summer conferences and events. You will also help provide support to visitors and guests with tasks such as checking in arriving guests and checking up on guests during their conference or event.

Our CAs will also have the opportunity with helping Residence life with opening for the new school year by assisting with the 14hr desk.

Applications for this position will available on Wednesday, April 5th in your area office and in the Residence Life Main Office (Moseley 213). If you have questions please feel free to contact one of persons below:
