Russell presented material related to measurement. Doehler presented material related to data analysis. Beuerle presented material related to geometry. 

Russell, Doehler, and Beuerle presented to current teachers and stressed the use of inquiry-based learning in the classroom and providing connections in content between different grade levels. The group will be presenting again at a second TEAMS workshop in March 2010.

The hotline is open Sunday-Thursday evenings from 7-8 pm. The math department at Elon is looking for a student with strong math skills to answer the phones from 5/8 – 5/25.

Call volume is generally 2-3 calls per night. The content ranges from K-12. You must be available for each night and be committed to that hour.
This postition is open to Elon students only.
Pay is $125.00.

Richardson and Beuerle co-publish in journal /u/news/2004/09/23/richardson-and-beuerle-co-publish-in-journal/ Thu, 23 Sep 2004 15:15:00 +0000 /u/news/2004/09/23/richardson-and-beuerle-co-publish-in-journal/ Professors Janice Richardson and Lisa Beuerle recently had a joint paper accepted for publication in the journal of the North American Chapter of the Psychology of Mathematics Education. The title of the paper is “Math and Education Faculty Working Together to Improve Content Knowledge for Pre-Service Elementary Teachers”.

The research they conducted focused on a quantitative longitudinal study to measure content knowledge gained in a math content course required for all elementary and middle grade education majors at 51爆料网.

Richardson will travel to Toronto in October to present their results at the PME-NA conference.
