CKEU’s official opening is scheduled for early 2011. However, we are currently in the process of recruiting students for the 2010-2011 Leadership Team! Both cooking and delivery leadership positions are available and no previous kitchen experience is necessary! All required trainings and certifications will be provided to students with a passion and commitment for CKEU!

The Campus Kitchen at 51±¬ÁÏÍø (CKEU) recovers unserved, excess food from ARAMARK dining and catering services to create healthy and nutritious meals that are distributed to the clients of Allied Churches – a non-denominational organization striving to meet the needs of homeless & disadvantaged members of our community while empowering them to become self-sufficient individuals.

Boys and Girls Club Fundraiser Home Run Derby – April 27 /u/news/2010/04/22/boys-and-girls-club-fundraiser-home-run-derby-april-27/ Thu, 22 Apr 2010 18:47:00 +0000 /u/news/2010/04/22/boys-and-girls-club-fundraiser-home-run-derby-april-27/ LSM 227 will hold “Going Yard for Youth”, a Home Run Derby to support the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington on Tuesday, April 27 following SURF presentations.

This exciting event will host the children of the Boys and Girls club, the Phoenix, and food+drink will be sold at the event.  Prizes for our raffle and winners include gift cards, hats, and tickets to watch the Durham Bulls! All proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington. Come out, play, and support a good cause!

Registration is $10 and participants can sign up at tables in Moseley from now until Monday April 26 from 11-2 (Phoenix cash accepted).

When: SURF DAY, Tuesday, April 27

Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Where: Softball field near East Gym (Spectators Welcome!!)

We are dedicated to developing principled business leaders and highly encourage leadership and service through experiences such as conferences, networking and professional development events.

We would like to invite all majors to come out and learn about our organization, develop professional business skills and establish friendships that will last a lifetime.

Learn what the motives behind the slaves and white Americans were, why the railroad was worth its dangers, and how the Underground Railroad affects us today? 

Trip dates: May 25-30 (ends in Cincinnati Ohio)
