Beginning this spring, College Chapel was renamed and re-envisioned to reflect Elon’s continuing commitment to providing interfaith worship and reflection opportunities. This new service, called Numen Lumen, means spiritual and intellectual light.

Each week we invite the campus community to come together to reflect on the ways in which their spiritual commitments and academic pursuits shape their lives.

As the construction of the Numen Lumen Pavilion enters its final months, the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life invites the Elon campus community to gather for a blessing for the building, its future and its inhabitants. 

Father Gerry Waterman will be performing the blessing in a Roman Catholic Tradition. All are welcome to attend.

  • There will be student and faculty speakers that will talk about the culture, traditions, and customs of Hinduism, Diwali, and their homes.
  • There will be catered and home made FOOD!!!
  • There will be Henna Tattoos and Bindi.
  • There will be a table with Helping Hands products (purses, wallets, scarves, etc all profits go directly to the Indian women who made the products)

When: November 13th 2012 at 6:30pm.
Where: Isabella Cannon Room in the Performing arts Center
