Health Services Early Closing on Jan. 25

The R.N. Ellington Health and Counseling Center will close tomorrow, January 25, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. due to scheduled training exercises. We will resume operations on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is seeking a motivated Elon student to fill the position of office assistant during the 2006-07 academic year. This position requires that the student have strong computer skills; excellent oral, communication, organizational and writing skills; and the ability to engage in positive conversation about the university with students, faculty, staff and visitors of the Multicultural Center. Additionally, having taken courses in designing brochures and pamphlets and creating spreadsheets is a plus!

Interested students should stop by the Multicultural Center in Moseley Center 221-B to pick up an application Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Watson Scholars’ Annual Holiday Dinner and Yankee Swap Dec. 7

The Annual Holiday Dinner and Yankee Swap for the Watson Scholars will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Multicultural Center in Moseley 221B. This is a festive occasion to celebrate the holiday season and to reward the achievements of this gifted group of students.

Student Program Coordinators; applications due April 22

The Office of Multicultural Affairs will have four Student Program Coordinator positions available during the 2005-2006 academic year. Student Program Coordinators will work closely with the director to coordinate and facilitate programs that produce positive effects on student retention and in some cases, lead student groups. The position requires managing and staffing the Multicultural Center in the evenings and occasional weekend work.

Each coordinator will receive an annual stipend of $1,500 (to be credited to tuition bills, $750 each semester) and a $300 award designated for text books ($150 for each semester.)

Students interested in this exciting and rewarding opportunity may pick up an application packet in the Multicultural Center in Moseley Center 221-B Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. For best consideration, application materials should be received in the Office of Multicultural Affairs by April 22.

The 2005 Spring Hours of operation for the Office of Multicultural Affairs is Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Multicultural Center will resume its regular hours of operation for Spring 2005 from 8:00 a.m – 9:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Friday beginning on February 1st.
