Elonthon thanks you for your support

The Executive Committee of Elonthon would like to thanks all the dancers, committee members, visitors, faculty and staff and donors that made this event a great success!

All the money raised will be making a difference in the lives of kids at Duke’s Children’s Hospital.

We hope that you enjoyed yourself while you were at the event and hope to see you next year for elonthon 2006!

Fraternity Recruitment will begin on Feb. 6, 2005.

All 6 Greek Letter Men’s fraternities will be holding formal recruitment and invite you to come out and learn about their chapter.

Please stop by our table at the men’s basketball game on Jan. 31, the day before spring semester starts.

We are collecting as many CDs as we can so please drop them off in Moseley 209.

Every CD will help us make this event successful.

IFC Book Scholarship Applications Available

If you are a member of a fraternity and are on scholarship aid through the school, you have a chance to receive up to $200 for your books for the fall.

Applications for the book scholarship sponsored by the Interfraternity Council are available in Moseley 218 (Tri-council office) and are due by May 5th.

Scholarship winner will be annouced at Greek Awards May 11th.

GAMMA Safe Spring Break Contest Winners!

We would like to congratulate you on being a winner of the GAMMA Safe Spring Break Prize Giveaway Contest! Please stop by Moseley 218 by Friday at 3 pm to claim your prize. They are all labeled with your names.

Remember these driving fatigue signs when you are on the road.

Danger Signs:

-Repeated yawning

-Closing your eyes (at 60 mph, if you close your eyes for just one second, you’ve traveled 88 feet!)

-Suddenly jerking the wheel to get back in your lane

-Missing road signs or exits

-Nodding off

-Disconnected thoughts

-No memory of the last few miles

-Drifting out of your lane.

Only two more days to sign up for the Leadership Development Institute on February 27-28.

All transitioning leaders are encouraged to attend this year’s Leadership Development Institute presented by the Center for Leadership & Organization Development. LDI will take place on February 27-28, with a Friday keynote presentation by Steve Bell. If you are interested in attending please email Gabby Raymond at graymond@elon.edu or call the Center for Leadership & Organization Development at ext. 5323. The first 100 students to sign up to attend will have their conference fees waived.

This is a great opportunity for transitioning leaders to gain great leadership skills and experiences.

Elonthon Website Up

Elonthon’s new website is up and online. Although it isn’t 100% complete, we wanted to give you a chance to print off an application to dance if you couldn’t make it to Moseley 218 to get one. So print it off, fill it out, and return it to Moseley 211. Being lazy is now not an excuse for not getting one or not turning one in.

Applications are due Feb. 13th!
