A video art work of appropriated Meg Ryan romantic comedy film moments, commissioned by saxophonist Steven Stusek and composer Wei Dai, will premiere at a UNCG concert on April 15, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in the School of Music's recital hall.

Math majors Christopher Shill '14 and Erin Strosnider '14 and assistant professor of mathematics Chad Awtrey gave a joint, invited presentation at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, on April 9, 2014.

Physics major Alison Deatsch ’13 is the first author of a manuscript on magnetic hyperthermia therapeutics published this March in the Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials.  The work, coauthored with Assistant Professor of Physics Ben Evans, describes physical mechanisms behind the remote heating of magnetic nanoparticles.

Linda Lashendock, video archive technologist, presented a session April 8 during the annual Society of North Carolina Archivists conference at the McKimmon Center on the campus of North Carolina State University.
