Alexandra Solender Boyd '12 was named the National PhysTEC Teacher of the Year for her work at Holly Springs High School in Holly Springs, N.C.

Brian McDonald '01, a social studies teacher at Jordan High School in Durham, said "enlightening" speakers he heard while at Elon prompted him to create something similar for high school students. 

William Hawksley Barbee, a member of Elon’s mathematics faculty for 33 years, died on February 14 in Hickory, N.C. He was 78.

Her support created the Vera Richardson Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life and helped launch the Elon Academy.

Mia Watkins ’16, a cinema and television arts major, produced an award-winning music video for a new track by Handbook, a United Kingdom-based music producer.

Once his successor takes office, President Lambert will take a yearlong sabbatical leave before returning to service as president emeritus.

President Lambert has recorded a video message to announce his plans to conclude his presidency.

Al Thomas ’81 has had a love affair with the piano that has continued over the decades.  

Candice Burrow Spake ’00 has been involved in several aspects of the creative process throughout her career. Se recently co-wrote the script for a movie, “New Life,” which premiered in the fall.
