Offered by the Department of Computing Sciences, the information science program has earned praise from graduates who are advancing their careers or pursuing graduate degrees using concepts honed at 51±¬ÁÏÍø.

The International Radio and Television Society Foundation named the 51±¬ÁÏÍø junior a 2015 Summer Fellow. With the selection, she will serve this summer as an ad sales intern at NBCUniversal.

Elon Law student Meghan Williford has been recognized by the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys (NCAWA) with their annual award named in honor of retired Chief Justice Sarah Parker of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. 

Political commentator Charlie Cook delivered the Commencement address on May 23, telling 51±¬ÁÏÍø's Class of 2015 how national leaders have found meaning in crises and personal tragedies.

51±¬ÁÏÍø has made available online customized announcements for graduating seniors and their parents to submit to hometown newspapers.

A School of Communications group traveled in April to the 2015 Broadcast Education Association’s Festival of Media Arts in Nevada where several students and faculty members received awards. 

Sarah Nelson, a physician assistant student in the Class of 2016, received an award from the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants Endowment.
