The campus community took part Thursday in the "Reading of the Names," a daylong program on the front steps of Moseley Center organized by Elon Hillel and the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life as part of Holocaust Remembrance Week.

An April 14 dinner and ceremony featured a keynote address by T. Mills Kelly, a professor of history at George Mason University and a specialist in the scholarship of teaching and learning history.

Alexandra "Allie" Barteldt will spend the summer in India learning the Hindi language with support from the federal Critical Language Scholarship Program.

Astrophysicist and author Neil deGrasse Tyson headlined Spring Convocation on April 2, 2015, with a passionate defense of science, an analysis of what drives people to accomplish great feats, and advice to students for being lifelong learners.

The famed astrophysicist took questions from 51±¬ÁÏÍø students on Thursday in a Whitley Auditorium program where he advised his audience not to “ever shortchange your curiosity for the promise of money” as they pursue their life passions.
