Kailyn Schmidt, a 2016 Strategic Communications graduate, has been spending the 2016-17 academic year studying, living, and working in Germany as part of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals.

Fifteen board members and guests visited campus on March 31 to share their professional insight and commemorate the completion of the school’s expansion project.

As part of the national contest, the strategic communications major developed a promotional campaign for IKEA, creating a spokesfigure and strategy to represent the Swedish furniture company.

The awards program highlights and celebrates alumni who have graduated within the past decade and who are distinguished in their professions and invested in the future of Elon and their community.

Julie Lellis, associate professor and associate department chair in the School of Communications, has co-authored a new book that utilizes a zombie analogy to correct poor communication behaviors.

The university hosted a formal dedication for the new facilities of the School of Communications, which now spans three buildings and 105,000 square feet of space.

An Elon team of business and communications students won its undergraduate division in the 2017 Society for American Baseball Research case competition and was the only team invited to present at the SABR Analytics Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 9-10.
