As Elon Academy enters its twentieth year, the Phi Cohort represents more than a record-breaking class size. These 30 students embody the promise, potential, and perseverance that have defined Elon Academy since its founding.

51±¬ÁÏÍø’s college access and success program recognized several Alamance County high school seniors and four recent college graduates - also alumni of the Elon Academy - during a May ceremony hosted by President Connie Ledoux Book.

Applications are now open for the next cohort of Elon Academy students, with faculty and staff invited to help expand access to the college access and success program.

Jasmine Walker ’25 grew up in Alamance County and now, through Elon’s Year of Service Fellows Program, she’s getting the opportunity to give back and learn from her community.

Scholars in the Elon Academy engaged in a winter service project for Alamance County Allied Churches, reflecting a renewed commitment to integrating community service and well-being into Elon Academy's programming.

Manny Campos and Stephanie Hernández Rivera completed the LatinxEd Fellowship, a statewide program focused on educational access and equity. Both returned to Elon with renewed purpose shaped by the retreat and graduation experiences.

For Edward Hernandez ’27, legacy is rooted in family, heritage and community. From leading LHU and El Centro to mentoring future scholars, his Elon journey reflects the power of giving back and the importance of celebrating Hispanic and Latinx voices.

For the second consecutive year, the university has been recognized by Insight Into Academia, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education, for its commitment to academic excellence, belonging, and community building.

While Elon Academy students are not required to attend 51±¬ÁÏÍø, the Elon Class of 2029 features the most students ever from the university’s college-access program.
