Retirees were honored during a faculty/staff luncheon on May 12 in Alumni Gym.

Helena Padial ’26 was awarded Broadway’s Next Triple Threat award at the Chita Rivera Awards on May 18.

The workshop focuses on collaborative research, in small groups of underrepresented genders, including female-identifying researchers, each group working on an open problem in a particular area of mathematical biology guided by a senior group leader. 

Elon faculty and students recently publish findings showing that brief outdoor mindfulness practices can significantly improve college students’ well-being, mindfulness, and connection to nature.

Tori Layton ’26 will further her education and obtain her master’s degree in Germany through the DAAD grant.

Elon has become a family tradition for the Hart family. MaryKate will be the fourth and final Hart sister to graduate from the university, and the third in environmental sciences.

Graduates will be honored through two ceremonies in Schar Center on May 22.

Catherine Smith ’26 placed first in the Frederick Hartmann Creative Writing Contest sponsored by the Department of English Creative Writing program.

The Periclean Scholars Program inducted 16 rising sophomores into its 22nd cohort as students begin a three-year journey focused on ethical community engagement, global partnership, and food sovereignty.

The article, published in Virus Genes, shares findings from a two-year undergraduate research project led by Charlotte Dagli ’25 that identified viruses with enhanced oncolytic potential, or the ability to selectively infect and kill cancer cells, against fibrosarcoma.
