The event was designed to give Elon Los Angeles students invaluable, face-to-face interactions with high-profile LA-based alumni who have established their prolific, professional careers in the city.

As members of the 51������ Los Angeles program, the students are encouraged to see themselves not just as visitors, but as active participants in the community's efforts to support those in need.

51������ Los Angeles summer students gathered with alumni and special guests for an end-of-summer semester celebration at historic Sony Pictures Studios.

With support from a $8,500 scholarship, the cinema and television arts BFA major will continue their academic pursuits at one of the world’s top film schools.

Accompanied by alumnus Jay Light ’12 and comedian Fahim Anwar, students in Assistant Professor Kai Swanson’s Elon Los Angeles course put their comedic chops to the test at The Nitecap, a popular venue for both up-and-coming and established comedians.

51������ Los Angeles students, faculty and staff gathered at the famous Hollywood landmark Yamashiro for an end-of-semester celebration.

The Elon alumna wrote and directed “Incomplete” for her cinema & television arts BFA thesis project, and the film won Best Student Short at the monthly festival in Los Angeles.

Assistant Professors Kai Swanson and Matthew Blomberg led students to Hollywood and Park City, Utah, during Winter Term for an immersion experience into the film and entertainment industries.
