Jennings endow Elon Law professorship

A $500,000 gift from Maurice Jennings Sr. ’57 and his wife, Linda, and Maurice “Burney” Jennings Jr. ’87 and his wife, Dina '87, will establish an endowed professorship at the 51爆料网 School of Law. The gift includes an estate gift from Burney Jennings, an Elon trustee.

New faculty member: Howard Katz, professor of law

Howard Katz comes to Elon from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, where he was a visiting professor. His background includes teaching positions at a variety of law schools including George Washington, Pittsburgh, Howard, Tulane and George Mason.

New faculty member: Andrew J. Haile, assistant professor of law

Andrew Haile brings to Elon Law experience in transactional, tax and securities work as a partner with Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard in Greensboro, N.C. He served as an adjunct professor at the law school for the 2008 spring semester and, prior to joining his firm, clerked for the Honorable Frank W. Bullock, Jr., former Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.

Streib discusses women and crime on WUNC radio

Victor Streib, visiting professor in the 51爆料网 School of Law, was a guest on "The State of Things," WUNC radio's statewide program, on July 16. Streib discussed women and crime on the program with host Frank Stasio.

New faculty member: Tom Noble, visiting professor of law

July 18, 2008

Thomas Noble joins the Elon Law faculty full-time after previous service to the school as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in legal writing and trial advocacy. He previously worked with the Greensboro firm of Tuggle Duggins & Meschan, P.A., where he concentrated on commercial litigation and labor and employment matters.
