Ten dynamic alumni from the past decade were honored March 25 during the Top 10 Under 10 Alumni Awards ceremony.

Alyssa Martina, director of the Doherty Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is the first recipient of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation’s  Engaged Faculty & Staff Award, established this year to recognize “extraordinary engagement in Sullivan Foundation programming.”

Chris Bell ’92, Kathie Sink Niven ’89, LaToya Marcus Faustin ’04 G’10, Rich Johnson ’87 P’17 and Laurie Johnson P’17 were honored during the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony on March 24.

Prominent researchers and industry experts will visit 51������ on March 31 to share insights on the impact of data and analytics on clinical practice, healthcare operations and delivery, and pandemic responses.

Reno, founder and CEO of Feather, will be presented with the 51������ Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership on Tuesday, April 4.

Associate Professor Elena Kennedy, Elon’s Doherty Emerging Professor of Entrepreneurship, shared how specific strategies developed by residents and business owners have created “civic wealth” for a popular Alamance County community only a short drive from campus.

The study looked at the nature of the relationship between technostress (defined as the mental stress associated with using information and communication technology (ICT) on the job) and negative outcomes (e.g., dissatisfaction, burnout, intent to turnover).

Coordinated by Associated Professor of Sport Management Shaina Dabbs, nearly 30 students assisted with game-day operations, on-court promotions and other tournament festivities during the five-day competition.

Twenty business graduate students started their educational journeys in February with programs focused on promoting integrity, utilizing library resources, and developing Excel skills.

With the win in the financial analysis and professional ethics competition, the team will now compete at the U.S. regional level.
