Elon welcomes a national leader for diversity and inclusion work with previous experience at Wake Forest University and the University of Missouri.

Campus Compact has named Lockwood a recipient of a Newman Civic Fellowship, which recognizes and supports community-oriented students and is named for Frank Newman, a founder of Campus Compact.

A generous scholarship gift from alumna and Univision News Anchor Maity Interiano ’07 will assist students in Elon’s School of Communications. Her gift is part of the Elon LEADS Campaign.

The honorees – young alumni who have achieved major professional success, serve as difference-makers in their communities and loyally support Elon as partners, advocates and investors – will be recognized April 30.

Elon’s commitment to providing premier facilities for physics, engineering and other STEM fields continues to inspire alumnus Furman '56 and Susan Moseley whose latest gift to the Elon LEADS Campaign also provides additional Susan Scholarships in the Odyssey Program.

The university was one of three recognized by The Council on Undergraduate Research with this prestigious award for providing high-quality research experiences for undergraduates.

Several parking lots will be blocked off for use by prospective students and families who will be visiting campus.

Professor of Exercise Science Eric Hall is the principal investigator on the grant, titled, “Building a meaningful mentoring program with and for Black college athletes at a predominately White institution,” and was awarded $24,665 from The Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics.

The 51������ Board of Trustees met on Feb. 25 and granted tenure and approved promotions for several faculty members.

Giovanni will offer a poetry reading in Whitley Auditorium on Thursday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m.
