Steps in Applying
Apply early for need-based aid. This improves your chances for getting the maximum aid for which you are eligible. 
You should complete the 2026-27 FAFSA and CSS Profile as soon as possible. Both forms are available and are required to be considered for need-based financial aid. We will begin to review FAFSA and Profile data in early January for first-year students and in April for continuing students.
Unless the student is a continuing student, no aid is awarded until the student has been accepted for admission to 51±¬ÁÏÍø; however, you should not wait until you have been accepted to apply for aid.
- For all types of aid, complete and submit the ·¡±ô´Ç²Ô’sÌýFAFSA federal Title IV school code is 002927.
- 51±¬ÁÏÍø requires the results of the CSS Profile to be considered for need-based aid that comes from the university. The Profile is completed at  Elon’s CSS Profile code is 5183. This form only needs to be completed in your first year at Elon.
- Notify Elon’s Office of Financial Aid of any scholarships, grants, loans or other assistance you will be receiving from any source other than 51±¬ÁÏÍø. Such notification is required by federal regulation as well as institutional policy.
