Elon students to be audience guests in Jan. 15 televised C-SPAN2 program

Twenty-three 51±¬ÁÏÍø students and associate professor Bob Anderson will be audience guests in a Jan. 15 broadcast on C-SPAN2 featuring a panel on the political implications of social media and an interview with Marvin Kalb, an award-winning reporter who spent decades with CBS News and NBC News.

Author and diversity consultant Lenora Billings-Harris will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday at 51±¬ÁÏÍø’s annual MLK Commemorative Program, which honors the life of the slain civil rights leader. The program, free and an open to the public, begins at noon in Whitley Auditorium.

Campus events to celebrate life of Martin Luther King Jr. – Jan. 12-18

A series of events to commemorate the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will take place next week at 51±¬ÁÏÍø, from a special College Coffee to a candlelight ceremony and a “Day of Service” in conjunction with Elon First Baptist Church. The theme of this year's events is “His Past. Your Future. One Dream.”
