Stay informed throughout the Canvas transition with ongoing updates, resources, and support designed to guide you each step of the way.

Taking a few minutes to review one course now can help you become familiar with how your content appears in Canvas and identify any questions you may have. Whether you’ve already migrated a course or are just getting started, support opportunities remain available throughout the summer.
Planning ahead is advised, as the time needed to prepare courses can vary depending on your course design, content, and how you used Moodle.
See how your course looks in Canvas
If you’ve already migrated a course, take 5-10 minutes to review it in Canvas.
From your course, click through:
- Modules
- Assignments
- Pages
- Links
Most content transfers successfully, though some items may need minor adjustments. Reviewing your course now can help you identify anything that may need attention.

Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) can help you prepare, migrate, and organize your courses in Canvas. If your department would benefit from dedicated Canvas support, we encourage you to this summer or early August to provide faculty with additional time to prepare before Planning Week.

For quick “how-to” questions while working in Canvas, faculty and staff have access to by selecting the ‘Help’ button in the Global Navigation menu.
This support is provided in partnership with Instructure, the developer of Canvas, and will also be available to students when they begin using Canvas in August 2026.
