HealthEU Champions and Certified Departments
HealthEU Champions is a new initiative designed to advance Elon’s commitment to a culture of health and well-being by empowering faculty and staff to serve as well-being advocates within their departments and work units.
Grounded in evidence-informed best practices, HealthEU Champions promote well-being by encouraging participation in programs and initiatives, sharing resources and helping create environments where colleagues can thrive. As advocates, they bring wellness opportunities closer to where faculty and staff work while fostering connection and belonging throughout the university.
Participants receive training, funding and ongoing support from the HealthEU initiative to implement activities and initiatives that reflect the unique needs and interests of their department or work unit. Champions also have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues throughout the university, share ideas and contribute to well-being efforts across the institution.
As members of the inaugural cohort, participants will play an important role in shaping the program’s future. Their feedback, experiences and leadership will help guide the growth of HealthEU Champions and support Elon’s vision of becoming a national model for health and well-being in higher education.
